Here’s another news on the strike.
Because most animated shows are covered under a separate union, we might see writers seeking job on shows like “SpongeBob.”

Yeah, that’s a weird quirk with the unions. Hopefully if this drags on it’ll mean a full-on series return for Futurama, not just that chopped-up made for DVD movie Comedy Central business.

Actually, Futurama (and “Family Guy,” “Simpsons,” and “King of the Hill”) are covered under the writers union, because they air prime time.
So the strike would actually DELAY them. It already delayed “Family Guy,” which only has one unaired episode left in the can.

Ah, that makes sense. But I can’t say I’m shedding a tear for the delay in Family Guy. I support all writers, but the ones for that show get my support quite grudgingly. Grudgingly, I say. Harrumph.
