*NITPICK ALERT*
Technically, Al Gore didn’t win an Oscar for the movie “An Invonvenient Truth.” The actual recipent was Davis Guggenheim, the film’s director.
In the prime-time cartoon area, only “South Park” is unaffected, since the writers (well, only one writer who does everything, really) are not in the union.
Interesting. It says NBC may air the original Office if the strike is prolonged. I know it ran on PBS a lot, but I wonder how a wider (read dumber) American audience will react to it.

A perfectly valid point. I was running late with this and had to let it slide. I am normally quite the pedant myself.

Another comment on the writers strike.
Wikipedia has a good list on how the shows will be affected.
